What is CIEL?

Are CIEL products vegan?
Every single one. 100% vegan and vegetarian, across the entire range.
Does CIEL test on animals?
Never have, never will. All our products are cruelty-free.
Does CIEL use parabens?
No parabens in any of our products. That's a hard line for us.
Are CIEL products hypoallergenic?
We formulate to be hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. That said, every skin is different — if you have known sensitivities, do a patch test first or check with your dermatologist before going all in.
What do you mean by "clinically proven actives"?
It means the active ingredients in our products have been tested in clinical trials and shown to deliver measurable results. We don't put anything in a formula just because it sounds good on a label — if the science isn't there, it doesn't go in.
What are CIEL's formulation guidelines?
We're strict about what goes in and what stays out. No sulphates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, formaldehyde, triclosan, or harmful alcohols. Every ingredient has to meet global safety standards while still delivering visible results on Indian skin.
Are CIEL products safe for sensitive skin?
We formulate with all skin types in mind, including sensitive skin — our products are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. If your skin tends to react easily, we'd recommend testing on a small patch first before full application.
